True to Your New Self

If there is one over riding philosophy that guides the lives of many today it would be "be your authentic self." In this belief a person's highest moral aim is to simply live in alignment with their genuine thoughts, feelings, values, and core identity. The problem with this mentality is that the Bible tells us that without Christ, at our core, we are an utter mess. But the awesome news of the Gospel shows us that, in Christ, believers have a new self in Christ. In his letter to the Romans, Paul encourages believers to live true to their new identity in Christ and gives 3 ways they can do so.
